Attempting to Achieve

This past summer I went to the Crystal Cathedral in Anaheim, California. In one of the buildings, a giant steel quote sat on a white wall that asked: "What dreams would you dream, if you knew you could not fail?"
What would you attempt to achieve if you knew you could not fail?

I would probably go for things I love and wish I could do. First I would want to play in a pool tournament and hope to improve more. Next I would probably want to be a guitarist in a band and make a cd, but this one is a dream, I can't play the guitar worth crap. I plan on learning how to at least play decent. And last of all I would want to do something for the world because the first two were for myself, I would want to find cures for diseases that doctors can not come up with. These are some things that I would do if I knew I couldn't fail.

If I knew I could not fail, I would want to be in the olympics and finally be really good at one sport I love, whether it is volleyball, swimming, or track. I would also like to be the person I have always dreamed to be. You like the person you want to be when you write your new years resolutions but never really stick to what you say. I would want to always keep that list in mind and apply it to everything I do and say. If I knew I would not fail, then I would take more risks in life and be more daring. Sometimes, I feel like I play things safe because I fear what will happen if I fail. I always would have to agree with James, in that I would want to do something good for the world such as finding cures for many diseases and help a lot of people.

If I couldn't fail, I would want to change the world. I would want world hunger, poverty and war to be over. Forever. I don't feel it's necessary! I would also want to be a doctor; it's been my dream since I was like five. But the amount of school necessary and money and classes that would take, I just don't have. The outcome would be amazing but it's not realistic at all. I would definitely take more risks and live life LiTERALLY to the fullest. I would love for failure to not even be an option. But having so much pressure to do well in school and in live, people just take the easy way out of almost everything. I wish that wasn't the case.

I wouldn't always want to succeed in life, I think that you learn more from your failers than your successes. But, if I couldn't fail I would try some pretty cool stuff. I would first try to fly. I would go to the top of a big building and jump. I would challange Mrs.Comp to a rap off, we all know that she would win of course, Comp can drop a mean beat. I would try to fight a bear with my bare hands. My most important goal however, would be to inspire people. Help them to see the good in the world, its out there but its harder to find than the bad in the world.

I completely agree with Tylee. If I could dream and go for anything in this entire world without failing, it would definitely be solving world hunger, curing cancer, housing the homeless, or making our enviornment without a flaw. These, to me, are the most important things in our world, yet are the most ignored. People are focusing on the newly formed and corrputed "American dream" which focuses on money and power, not health or the world as a whole. I also agree with Kristie in that I would want to become the person I have always resolved to be, yet have never fully become. However, with accomplishing my goals like curing cancer and the harms to our enviornment, I would easily be the person I have always dreamt of being. I dream to be someone to change the world; if not the world, then one thing at a time.

If I could dream anything and not fail I think I would want to me a famous writer or something people respected, but at the same time I would really want to help people. I mean if you could solve the hunger problem in Africa and not fail why you wouldn’t? Personally there are just so many things I would want to do if I knew that I would not fail. Who knows maybe every Pageant queen would have nothing left to say when world peace was achieved!

If I knew that I would never fail I would want to be in the olympics and acheive my greatest goals. I would love to play soccer for the rest of my life. Even when im 90 years old. Not onlly would I acheive my own goals I would help out the world as well. I believe in sharing and not being selfish. I would help the world come to peace and stop all wars. I would help all people who need shelter and food. But I also believe that one most work to get where they go or what they want. Its the challenge of life and if you knew you could just get what you wanted without working our country might just be in more trouble. We would be lazier and maybe more fat. I think you should work for what you want cause once you acheive your goal(s) knowing that you worked hard to get there you feel better as a person and that you have helped the world.

I definately agree with Tylee, I would want Poverty and War to be over too. If I knew that my dreams could not fail I would like to have the power to help people who need help the most. Also I would dream of the world to have peace and just get along. I would also dream of being in the Olympics with Katherine. I also would probably dream of finding true love. I mean who thinks about true love anymore. All I see now a days is people caring more about money, money, money. And most people tends to ignore love. When love is the most greatest thing in the world. If I knew that If I dream of love and being loved in return who I will spend the rest of my life with and know that it will be forever and it would not fail. It would probably be the greatest feeling in the world.

If I could dream up anything and not fail, money would be no object. Materialism would not exsist. People could coexist. I like what Tj had to say about the rap off that would be really interesting to watch. I vote we do that for a final. My dreams would be to be really good at snowboarding as well as musicly inclined. I would dream of being a success in every way of the word.

If I could not fail, I would help my family first of all with all their problems. We are going through a rough time right now, and helping them would give me more happiness than what I achieved for myself.
For me, I would just follow my heart. That depends on my mood and moment in life. Right now as of this moment I would want to go into pharmacology and help administer perscription drugs to those who need them. Later on in life that may change but for now, College is my focal point. Later in life, I might want to find my soulmate, be financially stable and then have kids. The Norman Rockwell family. After my family and I are set and financially set, I would like to do my part and rid the world of poverty and unjust actions towards innocent beings. Until then, The sky is the limit.

oaIf I could not fail:
I would put all prejudices aside and go with my gut. I would not think twice. I would not worry about money or fame, I would put my worries into education, and know that it was then my job to educate everyone I could reach in my small time. I would help others reach their goals, I would work with the disabled and mentally challenged, I would help the people who need it but won't admit it. I would document everything, because without failure, no one would believe what I could do.

If I knew I could do great things without something letting me down there are a number of things that I would do. I would help all the poor people around the world, mostly any way that they needed. Then I would fallow any dream of mine, which one is to become a great architect. Not knowing if I am going to fail or succeed in that career field I am still going to try. Last I would do things for my family, help them make their dreams come true, anyway possible.

This is part two of my response. I think that my one really fun dream I would like to persue would to be a dancer. I think it would be a lot of fun to be on stage and dance along side of Usher or 50 Cent. Dancing lets you express yourself in a way that no form of physcial actvity can. It would be hard to be a dancer because there are so many people that dedicate themselves to dance but if I knew I could make it as a dancer I would pack my bags now and go dance.

If I could dream for anything knowing I couldn't fail I would dream for many great things. The main thing would be to give everyone in the world the same rights I have. Give them the opportunity to live in a home with safety and have meals and cars and everything I have. Once that was accomplished I would want to have unlimited anything for myself. This may sound greedy but if I could have anything or do anything in life without failure, that would be what I want. My biggest dream in life, though, is to be a professional baseball player. To me, that would be the ultimate life.

If I could do anything and not fail, I would do everything! Specifically I would be the next Bo Jackson and play baseball and football professionally, just becasue I think that would be really cool. I would probably want to be a famous country singer. I think singing, and being good, would be really cool. Singing live in concert I think would be a rush just like playing in the Super Bowl. I would also learn how to play the guitar, piano, and maybe the harmonica or saxophone. Then I would build huge youth sports complexes for kids to play at. Then after I retired. I would manage the Red Sox to back to back world series. Then after all that was over I would try to give every kid the privileges that I had growing up.

If I could do anything in this world and not fail I would probably try to start something new that no one has thought of like a new sport and influences the way that people think. I would also pursue my interest in becomeing a professional Nascar driver or some thing that would really get you heart jumping like ski diving. Also if I knew I could never fail I would play the guitar that I always sucked at playing. I would start my own band that would be called TierONE. I have always wanted to be part of a band or like a band manager. All of these things would be great to do if I knew I could not fail.

The way I see it, life without the risk of failure leads to a lack of ambition. No one would want to be an Olympian or president if anyone could do it. Those who achieve these positions do it through dedication and hard work, and it is for these traits that make such positions so exclusive and respected. If it weren’t so reputable, who would want to be a professional athlete who risks great injury every time they play a game or be a doctor who spends countless hours away from their families in a lonely laboratory? Failure is what inspires people to achieve great things. The greater the risk, the greater the reward when you achieve your ambition.

If I knew I couldn't fail I'd find a way to solve simple things around America like unemployment our energy crises, and our countries mounting debt because if we can't take good care of ourselves but still set our bar high what type of an example would we be leading the rest of the world? I'd also like to be able to say that I was the best at something. And of course climb K2 and Mt. Everest just so I could say I did it.

If I knew I could not fail I would do everything. I would travel the world in my new band and hit the top sellers list with my two CD's. I would visit the longest named city in each state and learn how to fly. I would never hold myself and my faith back for fear of failure so I can have no regrets. I would own my own helecopter and have a sunroof on my house. I would want to give every kid the oppertunities I had growing up. I would make sure that there were no broken families because family has helped me through life and I dont comprehend how you can live without one. I would sing my heart out on the street corners cuz that always sounded cool and lastly I would go slip 'n sliding down a whole mountain of mud. Just because.I would have a piece of grape bubblegum every day.

I would attempt to be a chef in my own restaurant, and be completely happy in whatever I am doing. I dream of having a family and a content life. I would dream that nothing bad would ever happen, and that there peace to the world: no war, or hunger or fighting. I want the world to be a happier and more peaceful place. I want to live life to the absolute fullest and I want to never question or second guess things that I do.

If I knew I could not fail, I think I would attempt more things that I normally would be afraid to try in case of failure. I would perform in front of thousands of people, audition for plays, try to become an advanced snowboarder or surfer, compete in a triathalon, and try harder to let my opinions be known. I would create homes for all homeless dogs and then I would do more dangerous and adventurous things.

If I knew I wouldn't fail I would go for the ultimate goal of happiness. To be worth the girl that I love for the rest of my life. Aside from that, I've kinda always wanted to ride in Le Tour de France, so yeah that'd be nice. But really if I'm happy and in love, then that would be my ultimate dream to achieve.

If I could not fail at anything,I would strive for anything my heart desires. Ive always wanted to sky dive but because of my fear of heights, I would never be able to go. I would LOVE to enjoy roller coasters. My dream life would be to marrying the 'perfect man', becoming a pro lax player, travel the world without debt, and be a coach as a well supported career.

Aside from aspects of my life, I want to succeed in being the best person I could possibly be. I want to be understanding, classy, humorous, enjoyable to be around, and helpful to all who need it. I know it all sounds 'idolized' but it is what I truly wish to succeed.

If I could not fail at anything, why not go for everything? This is a sweet quote you found!
